With 29,000 sites employing over 340,000 people in 80 countries, Sodexo understands the need for consistent, high-quality leadership across the organization.
In late 2007, Sodexo began a senior talent development programme involving 250 of its top managers. Leap Ahead assisted Sodexo with the evaluation and assessment groundwork as well as the planning of the programme, and is providing one-to-one coaching for a number of senior executives to improve their leadership skills.
Leap Ahead’s structured and methodical approach to identifying and closing skills and behavioural gaps has been very well appreciated by the Sodexo management team.
One group subsidiary, Kalyx – which provides services to correctional facilities in the UK – decided to take the executive development work a step further. The new managing director of Kalyx brought in Leap Ahead to act as a sounding board for what he wanted to do with the business and help him get his reshaped executive team fully on board. This has involved individual coaching as well as workshops to get the team working together effectively.
